cherish the love

With the passing of my senior back in UiTM, Ahmad Zulkamal a.k.a Zack on 21 February 2009, at a tender young age, it made me realise that anything can happen to anyone, anytime. I don't personally know arwah but he's my senior and the boyfriend of Veeky (Susan's best friend) therefore we always bump into each other in the faculty and we would occasionally say hi and smile to each other. When I received the news from Susan on Saturday evening, I was utterly shocked. I guess Allah loves him more. All we can do is say our prayers for arwah.

Life is indeed full of surprises and life is too short to be wasted. Therefore, cherish the people around you for you will never know what will happen to them, to yourself and when will be the last time you see them. Appreciate the people around you and live life to the fullest.

To Zack, may you rest in peace.
To Veeky, be strong. There's a silver lining behind every cloud.

a nightly battle

i have been having sleepless nights. every night when i turn off the lights, i will hear the annoying sound of mosquitoes ringing in my ears. the weird thing is, before i turn off the lights, there was no mosquitoes at all. but the moment i hit the bed, they magically appear out of nowhere. WTF? i closed my windows early so where the hell did they come from? it is bloody annoying. what is most annoying is that they always berlegar-legar around the face area and then when you tried to smack them, you ended up smacking your face, which becomes more annoying. no amount of sprays or vape mats can kill them. damn it. i ended up pening because of the smell. and when one does not get enough sleep, one becomes cranky. and when one is cranky, one gets easily annoyed. when one gets annoyed, one becomes pissed off and the chain continues...all because of the annoying blood-sucking mosquitoes.

weekend project part 16

i found a recipe for caramel cake here. honestly, i didn't know that caramel cake is actually kek gula hangus (duuh, i know!). the recipe is simple, the ingredients are minimal so i thought that i wanted to give it a try. i thought that it will turn out yellowish like creme caramel, only in cake form. what was i thinking, huh?
the ingredients

the batter, ready to be baked

after it was turned upside down

dah kena potong

the cake

my first attempt and it turned out ok. well, this is how kek gula hangus is supposed to look like, right? it has those 'sarang' and when i look at it closely, i become geli as in goosebumps. crazy, huh? but it looks like beehive pun ada. but when looked at closely, geli pulak. taste-wise, tasted like kek gula hangus lah. =)

oh woman

i just have to share this piece of quote which i received in my email. i don't know who came up with this quote but i loved it, don't you?

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make it greater. If you give her sperm, she will give you a baby. If you give her a house, she will give you a home. If you give her groceries, she will give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she will give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So if you give her a piece of crap, be prepared to receive a ton of shit."

weekday project for that special someone

when you love someone, you would go all out for that person. you would want to do your very best for that person. but what if that person is far away from you? when there is love, nothing can stop you. so what better way to express your love than to make some home-baked cookies? however, as much as you want to bake from scratch as it means a whole lot more, sometimes you just don't have the time. so this comes to the rescue. hey, it's the thought that counts, remember? as long as it is made with love, it will turn out great and that person will definitely love it and appreciate you for doing it.

when it is done, cool it on a rack and put it in a nice air-tight container and give it to that special someone.
oh by the way, who is that special someone you may ask? it is none other than my beloved sister who is all the way in Cambridge. i got you there, didn't i?
sis, these cookies are made specially for you. i know you have yummy Millie's cookies (and other yummy cookies tsk tsk) over there but i bet you sure missed my home-baked cookies, no? =P i hope you loved it.
now now...who is lucky enough to get my next batch of baked goodies?

nothingness

i haven't been updating this blog since my last post. i don't exactly know why of late i've been neglecting My CrAp ShEEt. either i'm being plain lazy or i just couldn't be bothered to write or perhaps i don't feel like complaining about stuffs in here. trust me, there are aplenty. and it is so unlike me not to trash things out in here. i didn't even write anything about my birthday. things have been weird of late. too many complicated issues to deal with. *sigh* but then the lappy is back at its cranky mode again.

oh well...now now where are those chocolates?

morning traffic

there was this two policemen this morning at the Jalan Semarak junction, near Menara Celcom, manning the traffic. i was running late to Court and at the traffic light one policeman was waving frantically signaling the cars to go so i hit the gas but then just as i was about to pass the traffic light, the other policeman raised his hand asking the cars to stop. what the hell! i had to hit the emergency brake. i almost speed through but i couldn't. damn you policemen! make up your bloody minds (if you have any in the first place). i couldn't help but mumble something and i saw them laughing. bloody hell.

stalk me not

...unless you have a box of chocolates and/or a bouquet of roses with you.

i received a telephone call one evening in my office. i was probably in the ladies' room when the clerk picked up the phone. on the other end of the phone, a guy, supposedly Chinese, by the name of Yan (how ironic) asked if there is a lawyer driving a red CLK (ok obviously he said a red Kancil and not a red Cute Little Kancil) in that firm. the clerk asked who he was and he said he met the lawyer in Court (but he didn't say which Court) and he said that the lawyer gave him the number. he didn't know the lawyer's name but stressed on the fact that the lawyer drives a red CLK. luckily the clerk didn't immediately give away my name. instead she said that she's not sure if there's any lawyer driving a red CLK (acting as though the Firm is so big and there are many lawyers) and if there is, she will ask the lawyer to return his call (he left his number by the way).

when i returned from the ladies' room, the clerk told me about it and i couldn't help but wonder who is this 'Yan' fella. as far as i know, i didn't meet anyone in Court by that name and even if i do meet people, i would have probably given him/her my business card, which clearly stated my full name and my number. why on earth would he call me at my office number? why did i give the office number in the first place? for what reason is he calling me anyway? it couldn't be that black guy coz he wouldn't know what car i'm driving (i hope) and he hasn't called the office since i never entertained his call.

well it's either somebody's pulling a prank on me or somebody's stalking me, neither of which i'm fond of. it is more scary than flattered. it is more freaky than excited. you get what i mean? obviously i did not call this 'Yan' fella. and he hasn't called again. at least not for now. it kinda send some shivers down my spine though.

hmm...maybe i should change my car.
